Covid restrictions are being lifted in numerous cities in China

Are protests useless? Is defending our freedoms a waste of time?

The recent events in China show that protesting works even in crazy, totalitarian countries where the state has near-total, WEF-style control of the population. China is lifting its lockdowns and is even pretending that “Covid measures” were locally imposed!

The authorities in China are now pretending that “science has changed” and “the virus has become milder.” Amazing how science changes right after weeks of protests!

Despite near-record case numbers, Vice Premier Sun Chunlan said on Wednesday the virus’s ability to cause disease was weakening, state media reported.

China protesters are heroes — just like the Canadian protesters a year ago.

as this is a PG-13 publication, i will slightly water down the classic axiom and state that “china is not a place where you want to “screw around and find out.” china is nasty as hell to dissidents and…

The Current Protests In China Are A Pivotal Moment in History
I believe many of the largest failures of the U.S. empire have arisen as a consequence of our foreign policy. In many other empires such as the British Empire, subjects were required to live in a colony for years before they could assume an administrative role, whereas the U.S. has held a long-standing perspective that American diplomats should not imme…

How were similar protests covered in USA and Canada? Just in case you forgot:

The events of the last few weeks make me hopeful for our future. Colleges are dropping vaccine mandatesTwitter dropped COVID censorship, crazy lockdowns are ending in China, etc.

Covid is NOT Exactly a Flu

Many people here, myself included, had Covid once and are not experiencing serious aftereffects. That’s not everyone’s experience, however, and many of my readers weighed in on having had Covid and experiencing serious health consequences.

The world has become less healthy due to Covid, lockdowns, and vaccines. We are experiencing reduced birth rates and excess mortality. Covid is not exactly like the flu — especially since most people in China have not even had one Covid infection. If only 0.1% die of Covid in China, it will be over 1 million people to die.

Hong Kong, a province of China with mostly ethnic Chinese population, had 10,600 people die of Covid when Covid spread through it:

Hong Kong has a population of 7.2 million. China has 201 times more people at 1.4 billion. So China may experience 1-2 million deaths from Covid. This would not make its experience any worse than the rest of the world. The numbers are large because of China’s sheer size. Do not expect any more honest reporting from China than we had from the CDC or other health officials — but Covid in China will bring serious consequences — especially to China’s older people with health vulnerabilities.

That said, we all know that lockdowns did not work anywhere in the world.

Lockdowns are not the answer — early treatment is.
